Volume 1.The Building of Tor House / written by Donnan Call Jeffers and illustrated with photographs for which captions have been written by Garth Sherwood Jeffers. Volume 2. Memories of Tor House / written by Garth Sherwood Jeffers ; illustrated with photographs for which captions have been written by the author. 34 & 38 pp.; 8vo; gray German bookcloth over flexible boards with wood engravings on the covers from original woodblocks made by Rik Olson. Includes publishers prospectus for the set, plus broadside announcements for The Roan Stallion, and Where Shall I take You To also published by the press. Also: a two page printed letter on Yolla Bolly letterhead on this and other publications, signed by Carolyn and James Robertson. All in original mailing envelope.

These books, the eighteenth and nineteenth issued with this imprint, were designed by and printed for James and Carolyn Robertson at The Yolla Bolly Press in Covelo. The text was composed in Granjon at Anchor & Acorn Press, and in Garamond at Yolla Bolly. Text pages were printed in Covelo by Aaron Johnson. Each volume contains 9 original family photographs which were printed in duotones at Phelps/Schaefer Litho-Graphics. The binding was designed at The Yolla Bolly Press and executed at Cardoza-James Binding Company..

30 copies issued, this an out of series Press Copy WITHOUT THE LAID IN, EXTRA SUITE OF PRINTS. Folio; handsewn and branch-laced limp vellum; enclosed in a box of bay laurel and cedar woods. Includes prospectus, also The Making of the Book, with photographs of printer Aaron Johnson, binder Rene Menge, Baskin, Fowles, and Michael Gidron working on the box. Plus a printed letter on Yolla Bolly letterhead, telling how the book came about, signed by Carolyn and James Robertson.

Both the Lawrence text and the Fowles commentary are composed in the Bembo types and printed, with the nine Baskin blocks, by letterpress on mould-formed English Somerset paper. The design of the vellum binding is based upon Christopher Clarkson's study of bindings of the early sixteenth century. Endleaves were handmade at the Twinrocker Paper Mill..
