Two blanks and the recto of the marbled page in the rear contain full page manuscript that appears to record a passage from the story of Elizabeth, or perhaps an embellishment. Between the manuscript which is somewhat faint but legible in a nice hand, and the small text size, we will decline to further impair out eyesight in search of the answer. Small spot to front cover; minor rubbing and two shallow scrapes to rear cover; browning to pastedown edges from adhesive. Dark toning to verso of frontis at top edge and leading corner; even light age toning overall.
