The bookplate is laid down and covers the whole of the front pastedown. Front endpaper also bears the ownership signature of Arthur Leonard Ross. Laid in are 3 xerox copies of typed correspondence from Pearson to Ross, regarding Pearson's intent to write a life of Frank Harris. Also two xerox copies of correspondence to and from Oscar Wilde. The one from Wilde, indecipherable but on the letterhead of the Elysee Palace Hotel, Paris; the other, to Wilde, signed from 'Boni', possibly Albert Boni, one of his publishers. Two vertical strips of tanning on front endpaper, otherwise a decent copy.

Arthur Leonard Ross was a New York attorney who represented Frank Harris, as well as Emma Goldman.
