The original treatment by Steinbeck for a proposed 1949 film biography. Lost for over thirty years, the manuscript was recovered by The Yolla Bolly Press. Steinbeck's lost book is a stirring account of the life of Emiliano Zapata, the martyred hero of the Mexican Revolution.
