This wonderfully illustrated fictional history tells the story of "Michel Rachelet, a legendary maitre de chai of a great Bordeaux chateau. On the eve of his retirement, he sits alone under a full moon with all the wines he made during his long and productive life. The bottles are lined up on the table like 'telephone poles along the road', and Rachelet takes the road, journeying into his own past through memoires triggered by aromas and flavors.
