Rubbing to covers, edges and leading corner tips; paper scuff above the bookplate near hinge; some tanning to pastedowns & endpapers.

Epic poem celebrating Liberty, with reference to the politics of the time. In 1739 he was one of the founding governors of the Foundling Hospital, dedicated to the plight of abandoned children.
