xv; 166pp.; 5 1/2 x 4"; marbled paper over boards; paper spine & cover labels; in original acetate wrap and box with paper title label. Letter is addressed to Flodden W. Heron, The Union League Club, San Francisco, 1930. Newton relates that he "quite unexpectedly" went to London for a six week holiday, preventing a planned visit to San Francisco, with the hope of meeting Heron on the next trip to the coast. "Meantime, I am sending you, under separate cover, a little book which I trust will serve to keep me in your mind at least for a time."
